Justified vs. Unjustified Terrorism
John Kerry just said that the Friday the 13th Paris attacks were different than the Charlie Hebdo attacks because the latter were somehow justified.

This highlights the problem we have right now in the West, which is that liberals are unable to name the beast.
In the first attacks, cartoonists drew cartoons of the prophet. In the second attacks, people went to coffee shops while being homosexual and without covering their women properly.
Both are offenses against ISIS, and in their minds both deserve death. Clearly. So why do we wring our hands over the first one, but not the second?
Should we really be looking at every ridiculous reason that psychopathic terrorists have to kill us, and then decide which ones we should apologize for?
No.
All of these values are equally Western, liberal, and defensible. Drawing cartoons can never result in death. That’s just a line that we draw, if you pardon the pun. And it’s the same for homosexuality, or gay marriage, or equality for the sexes.
These are Western values, and we don’t have to apologize for some of them, or hide them from sight of certain people for fear of offense or even violence.
The name of the beast is religious extremism that hates, and wishes to destroy, Western values. Do not let terrorists dictate which of those values they’re ok using violence against and which they’re not.
It’s a form of cowardice, and we need to stop it.
