So it appears India is doing some sort of country-wide training on TCP/IP or Tcpdump today.

I was finishing up with my big site upgrade when I saw a traffic spike on requests to my tcpdump tutorial. I thought it was malicious, or a bot, based on the amount of traffic.

But then I saw the user-agents were all Linux, and the source IPs were things like technical institutes and such throughout India. Further research revealed various documents (which must have been class notes) that had my link in them.

Well, to my Indian friends visiting the site: Best of luck to you in the class. If you want to use the discussion link at the bottom I can answer questions there.
