Evolution is True
What follows is a collection of videos that focus on a few common points of discussion in the debate about evolution.
We’ve all heard the argument from creationists about how the various pieces of the eye would not have evolved by themselves, and thus would have died out, right? Well, this video on the eye obliterates all eye-based anti-evolution arguments in less than three minutes by showing how each evolution of the eye actually was useful and then shows existing animals (like, right now) that have all the various stages of our eye.
After seeing this a creationist arguing against evolution based on the eye argument will have nothing to go on other than, “Those aren’t real animals!”
This video below is a stunning look at how life is classified. And yes, after watching it, your Christian friends is almost guaranteed to take the “God could have done that” line of argument. That’s fine if they do because at least they’re conceding that evolution is real.
For those who don’t concede that, however, you can always threaten to bring the ultimate weapon to bear: evidence. Ask them to take this video, an animal anatomy book, and head to the nearest University’s biology lab. Tell them you want to pick parts of the video that they don’t think are real and then go *show them* that reality disagrees.
Don’t gloat or be rude–be dead serious. Offer to pay for gas, and pick up a phone and bring up Google for the biology department of a local University. Ask them to bring their pastor along. If they back down, you have shown someone the light. If they don’t, then you get to expose them to it–in the lab.
This video solidly shows how it’s possible to go from one “type” of animal to another, and it gives examples that everyone would understand. As with the previous video, be prepared to physically call, travel to, or otherwise interact with actual physical experts and/or evidence in order to prove your point. You need to illustrate that you have tangible evidence to prove what you are saying. All but the most foolish will eventually accept the truth at that point.
