I was thinking today that it’d be nifty if one could ask Siri where a particular friend is, like:
Where is Ken Swain?
…and have it come back with his location on a map.
So I made the tweet above and got back a reply from @josephjaramillo saying that this is already possible!
Nice. And it does actually work. Siri returns a map with your friend’s current location.
Caveat: it works by using the official Apple Findy My Friends application, which both of you need to have installed. I think it’s likely that there’d only be a handful of people you’d want to do this with anyway, so I suppose it’s ok that it requires the two-way setup.
Anyway, it’s a cool nugget of functionality I don’t think most realize Siri can do.
