Netiquette: Top Posting

The sad thing is that lots of email clients and web interfaces (Outlook, gmail — yes, gmail) make top-posting the default and offer no way of changing it. There’s a program for outlook called “Quotefix”, but the only thing for gmail is to cut/paste your sig (if you have one) to the bottom and move the cursor before you start typing.

Another thing about email clients these days is the prevalence of rich text or html email… now, I understand the wish to have your font change color or have a few simple modifications, but an email message should not be a friggin’ web page.
