  • Daniel, that's hilarious! Where did you get that quote from?
  • yermam
since youre too dumb to know the definition of the word irony, I doubt that this is very credible, unless you happen to know about the subject from personal experience in which i acquiesce to your unsavoury knowledge
  • yermam,

First, the situation is ironic because hip hop saggy jeans are worn by those are attempting to show how tough they are. The fact that the fashion statement comes from those who want to be buttfucked is ironic. Consider more schooling.

Second, this fact is widely known. The fact that you can't find support for this by cursory web searches supports my first recommendation. But perhaps I should have included a source of support.

    Urban Dictionary

Might very well be true, but a lot of this type of stuff also turns out to be folklore. I'd ask for a more authoritative source where I can at least tell what kind of effort went into the research. But, even the Urban Dictionary site has another derivation:

    3. The way I've heard it is that sagging was a way for guys in prison to show that they had a gang behind them, or that they were in charge of a large group of inmates. It was like saying "here's my ass, go ahead, TRY to rape me."
  • Snopes doesn't think this is true. Interesting.
  • I thought the baggy pants were a combination of ill-fitting clothes and absence of strings (preventing suicide)
