This year, being my thirtieth on the planet, was paricularly significant. First of all, and arguably most importantly, I landed my first “real” job like a week or two before I turned 30.
Needless to say, that rocked. Now, as my 30th year is coming to an end, I have just become obsessed with golf. One could argue that the golf thing is actually bigger than the job thing, but I won’t take it that far. Suffice it to say that I now understand what I could never understand before — golf is fun as hell. Furthermore, I think it attracts the rich and powerful simply because it’s so damn hard to do well. Anyway, I got my first real lesson today from some dude at the driving range. It was most informative, and he did it for free. Bonus.
So yeah, the golf thing was cool. If I could have added the attainment of my watch to the list of things I’ve done this year, that would have been great, but alas, it was not to be. Oh, well, perhaps this year or the next.
