I think what you see is more typical of when politicians speak off the cuff is comments like he made the other day about his grandmother being “a typical white person”. Now, I don’t believe he meant it how it came off but I don’t believe this speech was anything but worked on by his team either (and I’m sure he was involved but wrote it himself? no way).
