&lt;p&gt;Secondly, ActiveX takes people by suprise and often installs with people not even noticing. Firefox extensions are hardly ever installed without a user&#039;s knowledge -- if ever.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Finally, just look at the facts. How many people do you know who have ruined Windows operating systems because of Firefox plugins? Now compare that number to how many have had their systems toasted by ActiveX and IE. You&#039;ll find that the numbers are quite different.&lt;/p&gt;
