Why America Is Failing

Any cursory glance at the blogsphere will reveal unadulterated outrage at both the current and likely future states of our government. I’d like to offer a simple theory that is quite surely well known in many circles but lies outside the public consciousness.
The quality and character of a government is determined by the overall education and intellectual independence of its population. In short, the more educated and enlightened a given group of people, the more free and representative their system of government will be. Conversely, the less educated and more retarded a given group, the higher the chances their government will be totalitarian in nature.
Our current problems here in the United States are a function of this tendency, and that the reason our government is becoming more and more tyrannical is simply because it’s able to due to a dumbed-down, entertainment-drugged society. And as our country continues to become increasingly stupid our functional core further loses the ability to discern propaganda from truth.
This is already happening, and it is accelerating. Gone are the days when a good portion of the population were free-thinkers who could smell deception and participated in their government. That very population was what made our country strong, and without it we are little more than fat sheep being led in various directions by those who control the narrative.
I don’t know the answer, as those who haven’t a clue reproduce the most, but at least I know what the problem is.:
