I take vitamins. As with most things I believe in going with the minimum number of additions, each of maximum quality. As such, I’m currently taking just two supplements.
1. Irwin Naturals: Men’s Living Green Liquid-Gel Multi

As far as I can tell, both by research and by feel, this is the multi-vitamin. First, it’s plant-based, which sounds cool. Second–and more tangible–is the fact that it’s a soft-gel, meaning you get full absorption of the nutrients.
Then there’s just the sheer number of ingredients. From their literature:
Unlike any other multi, this breakthrough formula combines over 117 nutrients and 72 trace minerals that cover the following 12 categories:
- Full-Spectrum Vitamins
- Minerals
- Crucial Oils
- Antioxidant Blend
- Fruits, Vegetables & Herb Blend
- Immune Support Nutrients
- Amino Acid Blend
- Stress Support Blend
- Green Super Foods
- Energy Nutrients
- Men’s Targeted Blend
2. GNC Triple Strength Fish Oil

After doing a good amount of research on this I’ve come to the conclusion that fish oil is fish oil. Meaning that as long as your fish oil is devoid of impurities you’re going to get pretty much the same thing regardless of what kind you take.
The amount you take is key, however, and I’ve always found that you don’t get quite the benefit if you do just 300mg (which is what you get in an average capsule). This product is stellar in that respect, as it gives you your standard, purified oil that many top-end products give you–but it gives it to you in a 900mg capsule. So, one a day and you’re set.
I just started taking these a couple days ago and I feel quite certain that my mind was exceptionally sharp today. I know it could be illusory, but if it continues whenever I take the product I’ll gladly continue.
Anyway, those are my two supplements. For any health people out there, I have a question: If I were to add a third supplement, what should it be? Garlic? Ginko? Essence of Chupacabra? Thoughts welcome. ::
