Tiger’s Sick II

Ok, now things are just completely out of hand. I just realized I hate the whole “cable” thing for syncing my new Treo 650 with Tiger, so I decided to give the Bluetooth syncing thing a whirl.
It works. Or, to be more precise — it just works. I haphazzardly took a stab at attempting to configure it, and it somehow accidentally started working on the first attempt. Odd, that.
So basically, I just start Hotsync from my phone within like 30 feet and all my Contacts and Appointments are synced up between it and my main computer.
Sick.
It appears Ken was right — Bluetooth is the shiznit. I am still not happy with the security issues, but the benefits might just be worth it in this case. Of course, I’m paranoid, so I’ll be enabling Bluetooth on my OS X machine just long enough to sync with the phone — at which point I’ll disable it again. Having it enabled 24/7 on my main system is just creepy to me. Too many unknowns.
Anyway, the fact that it works is awesome. This simplifies the syncing process by leaps and bounds.
