The Comment Service Game

So I’m back to native WordPress comments, much to my dismay. I wanted to be happy with DISQUS, but I just realized I couldn’t edit comments that were submitted, which isn’t cool. People frequently make mistakes when posting and ask that I fix them.

Plus, I think I liked Intense Debate’s features better anyway; I just wish I could get their plugin to work. It let me install it but it wouldn’t let me log in to post comments on my posts. Highly annoying.

So we’ll let some time pass and come back to their offerings after a while. ::

  • The un"Official" blog of the iPhone Dev Team (iPwn, etc) recently went through the same trouble.


    They noticed in addition that Disqus did not scale very well and moved to Intense Debate. As an end user, I like the features of ID much better.
