I’m still pretty fond of this one, though I crashed it a few months ago (assuming I can embed an <img src…&rt; in the comment):

Gotta love the rush of 0-60 in three seconds, 60-120 in about five, and being able to go from 0-70 and back to 0 in a city block. =)

Anyways, hope you like the new ride. Not my kinda car, personally, but I’ve read your blog long enough to know that you’re pretty passionate about BMW.

Guess I can’t embed an image… anyways, that was http://www.jeremygaddis.com/images/yamaha.jpg if you’re interested (post-wreck pictures at http://www.jeremygaddis.com/gallery2/v/yzf600r/, as well).

By the way, Daniel, minor issue I just noticed… enter a comment, hit Submit, comment gets posted, but I couldn’t post another comment without refreshing the page (textarea was “grayed out” as was the submit button). Not a big issue, but I think you like for things to work perfectly. Firefox 1.5.0.7 on FC6, BTW.

I loved my BMW while I had it. You’ll definitely appreciate going from to a 33x versus a 32x, the difference is sizable and your very handy dynometer graphic shows what the Bavarian experience is.

someone needs to LEARN how to read a dyno chart. First of all, you NEVER have more power at the wheels than you do at the crank. So I knew this guy was on crack when he said 384 at the wheels and 348 at the crank. But besides that, if you click on the chart, it shows 284 (NOT 384) at the wheels. NO ONE else caught this???

Normally I wouldn’t comment on posts but I felt that I had to as your writing style is actually good. You have broken down a tough area so that it easy to understand.

This is old but to clear something up; a 3600 lbs car cannot have 300 horsepower and lbs ft then pull a 4.8-4.9 0-60. Power to weight ratios make that impossible to achieve. This car does have about 400 horsepower at the crank and any form of power/weight to 0-60 calculation will prove that. Also it doesn’t help that BWW admitted it was a marketing choice to underrate it, they just never came out and claimed their top of the line 3 series had the performance of their top performance car.
