Thank You, Ron Paul

I just wanted to say thanks to Ron Paul for getting me interested in politics again. Perhaps it would have happened anyway given the stakes in this election, but I don’t know that it would have been this spirited were it not for Dr. Paul.
I disagree with him strongly on many things, e.g. his extreme views on deregulation and lack of belief in evolution, but this doesn’t diminish my respect for what he’s done to remove the apathy that was plaguing so many Americans.
In short, Ron Paul made me care about politics. And for that I’ll be forever grateful.
I will continue to support him in a number of ways, and most importantly I hope that he inspires a new generation of politician that understands that non-interventionist foreign policy is the way to go, and that logic and peace will ultimately yield more success than projecting military power.
So, yes, I’m voting for Obama–who many think is the antithesis of Paul–but I honestly feel they are in agreement on the most important issue, i.e. changing the way we deal with the world to be based on mutual respect rather than military strength.
I only hope more Republican politicians will listen to this message going forward.:
