Testing the New Domain
By Daniel Miessler on June 18th, 2009: Tagged as Blogging
Things could be a bit…strange…for a bit while I work out some issues. I’ve decided to keep both domains, but to go with the full name for the primary. I think it is easier to parse–even though it’s a bit longer to type–as well as being a clearer identification of who I am.
Few people type the whole thing anyway since they’re more likely to arrive via either a link or a bookmark. And even if it’s a new user typing it in, “dmiessler” is more trouble than “danielmiessler” because you don’t have to explain the latter–it’s just firstnamelastname.com. The “d” bit is more trouble than it buys with brevity.
Anyway, hopefully it will grow on people and won’t be too annoying with the length. During the transition I’d appreciate any emails to daniel@dmiessler.com (yes, that’s changing too).
Thanks. ::
