Sam Harris: The Problem with Religious Moderates

And yes, it saddens me that due to a lack of time I bring to bear the work of other thinkers in my attempt to convince my friends here that mainstream societal support for religion is harmful–even in moderate forms.
I would like to have continued arguing alone, and I will bring more of my own approach to the debate later, but for now I enlist the help of others. ::
