I think I finally get it -- 'it' being your beef with Christianity. I'm far from an extremist. I'm tolerant (not respectful) of many things and somehow that makes me one of those wishy-washy no-good moderate Christians.

Basically, it appears that you're trying to push the (very real) fact that extremists are dangerous. Then comes the army of straw men. Crazed extremists are easy to debunk. Rational, intelligent, sane, and tolerant people? Not so much. So you pull up a bunch of work from others (either with the same agenda -- yes, agenda -- as yourself, or pick a name from the giant pool of highly visible Christian extremists) to back up your opinion that moderate, tolerant Christians are detestable and unworthy Christians.

So tolerance makes us bad Christians, Intolerance makes us mongers of oppression.

I ask: "What of your intolerance?"
