    You’ll love it. With YUM, you get the benefits of apt-get (Debian). The GUI is slick (KDE or Gnome) and just about anything you want is a “yum install ” away. I have it on my home boxes as well as my laptop.

    My laptop runs the Centrino chip (Intel Pro 2915 a/b/g chip) … a simple firmware copy (downloaded from Intel) to the /lib/firmware directory and a modprobe, and I was flying high in wifi.

    Also, try Tomboy … great app for quick note taking, and a few plugins available. Really nice app.
