Poor Republicans Acting Against Their Own Interests | BBC

“The result is that many of America’s poorest citizens have a deep emotional attachment to a party that serves the interests of its richest. Thomas Frank says that whatever disadvantaged Americans think they are voting for, they get something quite different: “

    Hence a President Obama.

To think one party is in bed with the foundation of our economy and the other is immune is both extremely partisan and arrogantly irresponsible.

Where did the White House cabinet lobbyists come from that we were promised wouldn't be allowed in? Not on a cloud of pixie dust from planet Vulcan. They came in through the front door, with an invitation.

What you are experiencing here is a crash course re-education in the effect of trusting one party, much less Congress, the Executive or even the Judicial branches, too much, and that is that a popular backlash is very, very likely, and as we are observing, very, very effective.

It happened in 1994. Witness history repeat itself.
