Wanting a small government and Civil Rights doesn't scare me. The Patriot Act scares me.</p> <p>The fact it is called the "Patriot Act" is not just horrifying but repugnant. It implies that if you are against it, you are unpatriotic. </p> <p>"Homeland Security" sounds so Orwellian, it's scary.</p> <p>It's not like he would come in to office and just flip a switch and the country changes, but he could definitely help stop the downward spiral that we are in today.</p> Scary? The fact it is called the “Patriot Act” is not just horrifying but repugnant. It implies that if you are against it, you are unpatriotic.

“Homeland Security” sounds so Orwellian, it’s scary.

It’s not like he would come in to office and just flip a switch and the country changes, but he could definitely help stop the downward spiral that we are in today.
