Overcoming Bias: Show-Off Bias

According to Overcoming Bias, Show-Off bias is a problem that self-described smart people have when giving solutions to problems. In short, they’re more likely to favor an exotic or complex explanation over a simple one, just because it pleases their ego more to discuss it.
