New Music for 2009

So, like many people, I go through periods of feeling like I need to expand musically. I’ve had such a period recently, and it just happened to fall in the first week of January, which is a good point for a new branching out endeavor.
So here are a number of bands that I’ve found over the last two days through various means, e.g. All Songs Considered, Hypem, iTunes, etc.
I can almost guarantee you won’t be disappointed by this list.
