My OS X Software List

I use Coda for my web development needs. I haven’t tried TextMate yet, but from what I’ve seen, it appears to be oriented more towards programming apps… something I (sadly) don’t do a whole lot of.

I like Coda because it lets you edit files over SCP (seemlessly) preview pages, and even run a remote terminal.

However, it doesn’t integrate with Xcode and all that good stuff. I think a hybrid of the two apps would be awesome. Also, Coda comes with an $80 price tag, and the trial only lasts 20 days.

Maybe I should just shut up and try TextMate.

I friggin love TextMate. I have been using it a lot lately.

also, what do you use for FTP, SFTP, and the like? I’ve been using CyberDuck lately, but I am still trying to decide how I feel about that. Anyway, let me know.

I don’t use FTP, and I use the command line for scp.

    To: scp $filename user@host:$dir From: scp user@host:$dir/$file .

So why do you put your dock on the left? Most applications open over there. Just a question.

Dock on the left because vertical real estate is more precious. And once you place an application and reopen it, it goes back to where you put it. Works great.
