Martial Arts Goals

  • Zhasper,

I don't know which article you're talking about but I have deleted a number of entries in the past after realizing that I didn't like them for whatever reason. This is a personal website, and I don't feel I need to notify anyone when doing so.

Keep in mind that I'm just as likely to post something on fart sounds as I am about anything serious or interesting. Again, it's a personal site and I don't think I owe anyone anything regarding my own content. I do avoid deleting other people's comments within particular stories, however -- no matter how cutting they may be towards me. I trust I don't need to explain the difference.

Anyway, I'm working on not posting when emotional about a topic, so hopefully you won't see many more entries that pop up and then disappear. But now that you've brought it up I'll be more thoughtful in the future on the matter. I honestly didn't think anyone cared.

About my writing 2/3 of my posts for "shock/digg/traffic" value -- I'm not sure what to say to that. I am working on making my serious entries more mainstream in the sense of length, flow, diagrams, etc., and exposing the better of them to social sites to see if others will like them is something I do as well.

But I don't write FOR that. I was going to write that thing down anyway; the only question is the quality I was going to do it with. Rather than writing disjointed dumps of ideas I am trying to create more concise and readable posts that will be enjoyable to a wider audience. I am not sure how this is a bad thing.

Oh, and I never write for "shock". If it seems I'm doing so it's because I really am that riled up -- for better or for worse.

Anyway, thanks for the comment, and I'm sorry the site has not been satisfactory to you lately. Unfortunately I don't see myself changing in this regard unless it happens naturally.

    Kind regards,

    -Daniel

  • I'm looking for an article that shows in my reader but not here.

I'm guessing you retracted it because you were so horribly, horribly wrong. I'm curious about why there's no published retraction though.

It's bad enough that you seem to be writing a good 2/3 of your posts solely for shock/digg/traffic value, but now you're going to silently delete stuff as well?
