Learing a musical instrument, writing with your non-dominant hand, and solving crossword puzzles: all of these things, like the example you mention, may drive us to think in unusual ways, thus improving our overall problem solving skills.  However, I wouldn&#039;t think it would improve one&#039;s &lt;i&gt;capacity&lt;/i&gt;, just like lifting weights will only bring you to your max--not that of Ahnold or others like him.&lt;/p&gt;
