I’m Hearing Mixed Things About Windows 7

Any of you out there have exposure to the OS yet? I’m thinking about pulling down a beta and messing with it. I’ve heard both that it’s Vista with an updated GUI, and that it’s pretty damn slick.
I’m really hoping for the latter, as solid competition for Ubuntu and OS X only benefits us as the consumer.
I do know that I am liking Server 2008 a lot. As with previous versions of Windows I’m likely to use Server 2008 as my main (non-work) Windows OS rather than their primary desktop offering. The server lines just seem more solid to me.
