I like running Apache as light as possible, so I only run the modules I need. It helps performance, and it helps keep its attackable surface smaller as well.
Here’s how to see what your Apache daemon has in it, i.e. “how bloated it is”:
[bash]apache2 -l # see what’s in modules apache2 -V # get a more verbose report on the daemon[/bash]
