How I Grew Up Seeing the United States

This really is how I was raised to look at the rest of the country. It wasn’t that I was specifically told this, but this is the image that formed in my mind. It’s hilarious how accurate it is.
Ok, so now onto my second home — the Bible Belt. Here’s a graph of tooth loss by state. Can you find the most religious areas?

Uncanny.
The site that made this graph, by the way, is incredible. It’s called StateMaster. It has tons of data on crime, education, geography, and almost anything else you can think of, organized by state — and it creates flash-based maps and charts for you. Very cool stuff.
