He Can’t Be *That* Stupid

You’re surprised at this? (Well, me too .. a little.)

But, this is the same guy who talked about an Axis of Evil, listed three countries, pre-emptively attacked one, and was apparently surprised when the other two got even colder toward us than they already were.

So, we probably shouldn’t be surprised.

Any bets on how North Korea will react if we attack Iran? Forget about how Iran will react. Forget about how our (former?) allies will react. Forget about how the rest of the world will react. Could North Korea really be blamed for thinking: “Hmm .. this guy listed three countries that he thought formed an Axis of Evil. He’s attacked two of them. Logically, he is planning to attack us too (sure, he says that he has no plans to do so, but he said that about Iran). The guy has opened the door to a country launching a pre-emptive attack if that country feels threatened .. even if the country can’t specify when that threat might actually materialize.”

Raise your hand if you can take that thread of thought to its logical conclusion.

    Scary.

Just emailed the two senators from Florida. Bush will be out of office by the end of next week.

Predictions: The US will be in Iran before the end of the year. Bush will be impeached…damage done. Bush leaves another post in disarray.

This is about Iran taking away control of the oil dollar and making the Euro the trading currency of choice for oil producing nations. Iraq threatened to do this and see what happened to them.

America has been operating on borrowed oil revenue dollars for too many years and couldn’t afford to lose or repay the oil dollars. Needless to say it would also swing the balance of power to the European Union.

    Regards

“Can’t be that stupid?” Gee I don’t know. Of course I’m speaking as an observer from your retarded little cousin to the north :-) (Tucker Carlson actually got another gig I guess, after the Jon Steward interview)

I am not one prone to American bashing because when you strip away the differences in government and the obvious differences between the northern US/Canada and the deep south, Americans and Canadians are pretty much the same. So, I don’t want my Bush opinions to be construed as anti-American. I’m not ‘with you or agin you’ but Bush is an idiot, plain and simple.

Whether he gets impeached or not is somewhat beside the point. If he goes into Iran and/or North Korea (despite what kinds of places those are) the free world will pretty much uniformly despise the US, and not because of the average American, but because of Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, et al.

Damage will be done and he’ll run off to create another private enterprise disaster or perhaps be given a cushy directorship in some Saudi/American joint oil venture.

Wouldn’t it be cool if Bush and Cheney became CEO and VP of some professional services firm, supplying the US government with … oh, wait a minute, I think they are.

That scenario with North Korea is a very sobering one. Unfortunately, despite its logic, I don’t think the current administration will pay any attention to it. Logic doesn’t seem to mix well with the current decision making process.
