Think about it — all their services redesigned to feel like local applications on the iPhone
I mean, this is their game anyway — doing as much as possible online vs. locally. So the news that this will be the only way to develop for the iPhone had to make them giddy over there.
So imagine going to Google Docs, Picassa, or another Google application from your iPhone. As you make your request, Google sees the iPhone’s user agent and renders it with all the iPhone fanciness. Flick scrolling, side-to-side gesture navigation, slick animation, etc. Sick.
Expect to see this soon — an entire Google Apps effort centered around the iPhone.:
