Beautiful. I love it. Thanks for showing this to everyone.

Three possibilities for Shepard Smith;

(a) He was playing devil's advocate. This is common on Fox, and sometimes it's so obviously half-hearted there is no effort at a followup.

(b) He was trying to look appealing to other networks. I've noticed that his reactions to certain things stick out, very dramatically. At one point, recently, he got upset and angry at a nurse who was protesting the government order to take the swine flu inoculation or be fired, at the point where she defied the CDC's findings, and he beat her down, verbally, and discredited her on this alone, to this point where he apologized for even having her on the air, as she was "too irresponsible" to be taken professionally. In any case, there is a reason why this guy is slotted opposite O'Reilly and Beck, or at least adjacent to their reruns.

(c) He wanted to corner the Senator to say the costs for this program cannot be self sustaining, thus calling such statements fabrications, deceptions, LIES, what have you. This would leave other congressmen and media heads opposing Obama by way of calling him a liar in an increasing company.

I'm going with (b).

But, seriously, thank you for showing this. It encompasses alot of the argument on both sides, and hopefully everyone will soak it up, and not just take it as rhetoric from a man who needs to be stabbed in the face. The costs are out of control. I've seen it. I've been there. There are more options that won't be included that need to be addressed, well in advance of government intrusion.

-=T=-
