DC vs. Heller Supreme Court Decision Due Today

I’m really looking forward to the Supreme Court’s decision on D.C. vs. Heller, which is due today.

This has the potential to be a key precedent for 2nd Amendment rights for decades to come.  

Ideally they will rule that the 2nd amendment cannot be taken away from individuals (unless you’re a felon), and that only “reasonable restrictions” may apply, e.g. you don’t need automatic weapons, anti-tank weapons, etc.

I’m not hopeful, however. I think we’ll get significantly less than that. We’ll see.

    Actually, it wasn't due today -- there were seven cases left to be decided this term, and the Court rarely issues that many opinions in one day, so it was probably going to issue 3 or 4 opinions and then announce a subsequent day for release of decisions. In fact, as you probably know by now, that's what happened. Four decisions were announced today and the remaining three (including Heller) will be announced tomorrow.
