Blackberry: So Tired Of Mangled Contact Information

I am so tired of PocketMac’s inability to maintain the integrity of contact information on my Blackberry.
I am very precise with my contact information. I like knowing which number is mobile, which is for work, etc. Nothing pisses me off more than meticulously organizing all my contact information only to have it mangled the next time I go to view it.
My idiot Blackberry can’t keep anything straight. It loves to change numbers with labels on them to “phone” instead of “work” or “home”. It does it with email addresses too. With my Treo 650 I never had this problem.
I thought the problem was going to be fixed when PocketMac came out, but apparently not. I have to ask, why write a program to sync contact information if you’re not going to map the fields correctly? So lame.
So, yeah…for now I’m without a good contact manager. Using PocketMac isn’t a solution. Not only does it not fix the information on the Blackberry, but it then confuses Address Book on the next sync.
Does anyone know a way to solve this problem on their Blackberry? Is there some other contact management solution that will sync well with OS X?
