Another Data Point in the iPhone vs. Android Debate: Re-sale Values

    I think this is to be expected, Android phones are more of a commodity item with less lock-in then Apple phones.

    In addition, I do believe the Apple hardware build quality (and support) is superior.

    Don't forget that these numbers are derived from perceived value by a large number of consumers.

    It doesn't say anything about fit-for-task for an individual such as yourself, unless you think about yourself as average.

    By the way you didn't take into account the price at which the phone was purchased on average by people considering selling it, plus cost to break the contract.
