No, because our election process is fairly transparent.

In Iran, count announcements come in 13 steps. The 11th and 12th were both fewer than the 10th. That means that the 10th had more votes, but for some reason, even as people kept voting, the count went down.

2. Yes. If he rigged the election, then he should maintain an calm Iron Fist. If he's innocent, then he should still be stern, but calm. Perhaps denying everything was a misstep though.

3. Did you see how Bush got reamed for Iraq? And Saddam was ACTUALLY proven guilty; imagine how much trash Obama would get for a man PRESUMED to be innocent and looks like Jake Gyllenhal!

Washington Post follow-up article "About Those Iran Polls" http://voices.washingtonpost.com/behind-the-num...

"The validity of the unreleased Iranian surveys cannot be assessed in detail, but a closer look at the one sponsored by Terror Free Tomorrow and the New America Foundation reveals ample reason to be skeptical of the conclusions drawn from it."

From your twitter : "The Washington Post Nationwide Poll That Showed Ahmadinejad Ahead 2-to-1 Three Weeks Before the Election | http://tr.im/q0OR"

(These polls were not done by the Washington Post. They are the product of "The New America foundation" and it's division, "Terror Free Tomorrow".)

"More to the point, however, the poll that appears in today's op-ed shows a 2 to 1 lead in the thinnest sense: 34 percent of those polled said they'd vote for Ahmadinejad, 14 percent for Mousavi. That leaves 52 percent unaccounted for. In all, 27 percent expressed no opinion in the election, and another 15 percent refused to answer the question at all. Six Eight percent said they'd vote for none of the listed candidates; the rest for minor candidates."

52% unaccounted for. Did someone say, "We can stop, I've got the 2-1 ratio we were looking for?" Who were they going to vote for, the Ayatolla? Were they reserved for write-in votes for "Mickey Mouse"?

It's very clear that there was no international monitoring, no election fraud oversight or watchdog groups, nor would they be allowed to inspect the election results now. As it is, the Iranian government is rounding up journalists dissenting voices, and now even Al-Jazeera is reporting on Iran's crackdown.

"Iran thwarts opposition protest" http://english.aljazeera.net/news/middleeast/20...

"Call to execute 'rioters' in Iran" http://english.aljazeera.net/news/middleeast/20...

"Reformists reject Iran poll recount" http://english.aljazeera.net/news/middleeast/20...

"Iran detains British embassy staff " http://english.aljazeera.net/news/middleeast/20...

Fact: The Iranian people are rebelling against government corruption.

1.Do you believe that Bush reacted to his opposition the way that Ahmadinejad is doing?

2.Better than that, do you think Ahmadinejad's reaction to the protests is appropriate?

-=T=-

I concur.

This had always been my feeling.

Iran is the biggest winner from MJ's death tho; The rolling news caravan basically dumped Tehran...even if I argue that Iran can just never be the same again.

Ahamejinadad - cant be bothered about his name - just got one more reason to watch his back now, whatever happen from here.
