Adobe Buying Macromedia

Damn.

I used to be into the whole web-design thing, and wow — this is a colossal development. This is like Microsoft buying RedHat, or Symantec buying Mcafee.

It will be cool to see the products coming out of Adobe though — the combination of the offerings from the two have awesome potential.

  • Not that this's a bad thing, but this is old news--maybe a year or more? The latest development, and why it's probably coming back up now, is they're actually completing the purchase on tomorrow, December 3rd.
