At first I thought picking Palin was genius, and perhaps it still is. But it was also really, really stupid.
He didn’t even know the woman. He’d only met her once—like six months ago.
The selection wasn’t careful and precise; it was, “Hey look, it’s an attractive, pro-life woman who’s governor of a state.” It was, “We need a woman.”
What does that say for your judgement when you would trust the vice presidency to someone you don’t even know?
