I played my third sanctioned tournament last Saturday. I learned quite a bit.

My rating is now 1131. I improved by 42 points on my first ever and prior rating. My goal is a rating of 2000, and I should be around 1700 within a few years.

My first tournament was on the 1st. I used impeccable planning and executed it perfectly. My goal was to win the intermediate division and I did so convincingly. I did not lose a game in 4 matches. I played better than I have ever played.

My first professional coaching session was on the 22nd with Barney Reed in Gallatin, TN. two days ago. Last night I beat #1 on post 2 out of 3 for the first time ever. My glue arrives today.

I don’t claim to know what is, but I have a pretty good idea what isn’t.
